Before the treatment we apply a strong anaesthetic cream, and most products contain lidocaine. Only delicate pricks and a feeling of pressure are felt; patients’ comfort is usually much better than expected.
What do the lips look like immediately after the treatment?
For 1-3 days swelling and minor bruising may persist - the lips then look larger than the final result. The final shape is assessed after about 2 weeks.
What to avoid after lip augmentation?
For 24 hours, hot drinks, lip make-up and touching the area; for 48 hours, alcohol, the sauna and intense exertion. For 2 weeks, avoid dental procedures.
Is the result reversible?
Yes - hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase in a dozen or so minutes, and any product not removed is gradually absorbed on its own. It is a safe, fully controllable method.
How much filler is needed for a natural result?
Most often 0.5-1 ml at the first treatment. We prefer to build the effect gradually - adding product at a supplementary visit is easier than correcting an excess.
Can people with herpes have the treatment?
Active herpes is a contraindication - we perform the treatment after it has healed. For recurrent herpes, the doctor may recommend antiviral cover before the treatment.
What are the contraindications to lip augmentation?
Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active infections and herpes, autoimmune diseases in exacerbation, an allergy to the product’s ingredients, recent dental procedures. Qualification is carried out by a doctor.
How does augmentation differ from lip modelling?

How to prepare?
Preparation is simple:
- come without make-up in the treatment area
- stop alcohol for 24-48 hours and (after consulting your doctor) blood-thinning medications
- inform us about the medications you take, allergies and previous aesthetic procedures
- report any tendency to herpes - we will protect you preventively
Recovery and recommendations
You return to everyday life immediately after leaving the office. For the first 24 hours, do not touch or massage the treated area; for 24-48 hours, avoid intensive sport, the sauna and alcohol. Minor redness or bruising disappears within a few days - it is easy to conceal.
