Body lipofilling in Wrocław
Body lipofilling reshapes the figure with your own fat. Fat taken by liposuction from areas of excess (abdomen, flanks, thighs) is purified and transferred to where volume is missing - most often the buttocks, hips or breasts. No implants or foreign materials are used; at Luna Clinic in Wrocław the procedure is performed by Dr Aleksandra Łuniewska.

Body lipofilling - what does the procedure involve?
Lipofilling, or autologous fat tissue transfer, is a body-contouring procedure that moves the patient’s own fat from one area of the body (e.g. the abdomen, thighs) to another - to improve volume, shape or skin quality. At Luna Clinic we perform body lipofilling e.g. in the area of the buttocks, hips, breasts (as a supplement), scars or tissue defects. The procedure allows subtle, lasting effects to be achieved naturally, without the use of implants.
It is a “two-in-one” procedure: it simultaneously slims the donor areas and augments and models the recipient areas. The transferred fat that takes (usually 60-80% of the volume) remains permanently and behaves like natural tissue.
Indications for the procedure
Whether the procedure is advisable for you is ultimately decided by the doctor during the consultation.
- Body contouring: buttocks, hips, the sides of the waist
- Correction of volume defects after operations, injuries or liposuction
- Gentle augmentation and evening-out of the breasts (e.g. asymmetry)
- Improvement of skin and scar quality (e.g. after a caesarean section, burns)
- A desire to use natural material instead of implants
Contraindications
How to prepare for the procedure?
The procedure is always preceded by a qualification consultation with a plastic surgeon - we discuss expectations, examine the area to be operated on and establish an individual treatment plan. As standard, we order a full set of tests (blood count, coagulation, electrolytes, ECG for general anaesthesia) and, if necessary, additional specialist consultations.
- Consultation with a plastic surgeon for qualification, discussing expectations and the treatment plan
- Laboratory tests
- Stopping anticoagulant medications at least 14 days before the operation (after consulting a doctor)
- Avoiding alcohol and cigarette smoking for at least 14 days before the procedure - for better healing
- Thorough skin hygiene on the day of the procedure (no make-up, creams or lotions)

Recovery and post-procedure recommendations

- Sutures are usually removed after 7-14 days
- Avoiding intense physical exertion and bending over for a minimum of 4-6 weeks
- No sunbathing or use of a solarium for a minimum of 6 months - SPF 50 protection is necessary
- After full healing, scar massages and products supporting their maturation may be introduced - according to the doctor’s recommendation
- Check-ups: about 1 month after the procedure, then after 3, 6 and 12 months
Treatment effects
The result of body lipofilling is natural augmentation and modelling of the selected areas with simultaneous slimming of the harvest sites. We assess the final result after about 3 months, when the volume of the taken graft stabilises - this part of the fat remains permanently.
Possible complications and risks
Like any surgical procedure, this one also carries a certain risk. It is reduced by careful qualification before the procedure and by following the aftercare recommendations. Possible complications include:
- Irregularities, asymmetry, partial absorption of the fat
- Infection, necrosis of the transferred fat (rare)
- Microlipomas (small fat lumps at the injection site)
- In the case of transfer to the breast - imaging control is necessary (ultrasound or MRI)
Frequently asked questions
Is the fat absorbed after the procedure?
Yes - part of the transferred fat (about 20-40%) is absorbed naturally. The remaining volume stays permanently.
Can I repeat the procedure?
Yes - if the effect after the first procedure is insufficient or a correction of asymmetry is needed.
Does the procedure hurt?
No - it is performed under anaesthesia. After the operation the patient may feel slight pain and tension, which we relieve with medication.
What are the restrictions after the procedure?
For 4-6 weeks you must not exercise, put pressure on the graft sites or expose them to the sun.
When will I see the result?
The first effects are visible immediately, but the final shape is achieved after about 3 months.
Where can the fat be administered?
Most often: buttocks, breasts (additionally), hips, scar areas, fat-tissue defects. The doctor decides on this.
Can the fat move?
No - if the patient follows the recommendations. The fat integrates with the tissue and does not move.
Is the procedure safe?
Yes - performed with autologous material (from your own body), there is no risk of an allergic reaction.
How long will I take to recover?
To office work - usually after 3-5 days. Full recovery - 3-6 weeks.
Does this procedure replace implants?
Not always - it gives a more subtle effect. It can be an alternative or a supplement to implants.
How much fat takes?
Body lipofilling is quoted individually, depending on the areas and volume. The amount follows the surgical consultation (PLN 300).
Do I need a lot of fat tissue to have the procedure?
Moderate fat deposits are enough - even slim patients usually have sufficient reserves on the abdomen, flanks or thighs.

Body lipofilling: price and consultation
Body lipofilling is quoted individually at Luna Clinic. The price depends on the number of donor areas, the volume transferred and whether a second session is planned, since part of the fat is reabsorbed. For a larger change in breast size, the alternative is breast augmentation with implants (from PLN 24,000).
