Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at changing the shape of the nose - improving its proportions, breathing function and the overall harmony of the face. How to prepare for the procedure?

As standard, we order a full set of tests (blood count, coagulation, electrolytes, ECG for general anaesthesia) and, if necessary, additional specialist consultations.

Recovery and post-procedure recommendations
The largest swelling and bruising around the eyes subside within 10-14 days; you can usually return to office work after the plaster is removed.
- A splint on the nose for about 7-10 days
- Bruising and swelling around the eyes are possible - they subside gradually within 2-3 weeks
- Avoiding intense physical exertion for at least 4-6 weeks
- No sunbathing or solarium for a minimum of 6 months - using high UV filters
- Check-ups: after 1, 3, 6 and 12 months
- The full effect is visible after about 6-12 months, when the deep swelling subsides
Treatment effects
The result of nose reshaping is a natural, proportional nose without a hump, narrowed and harmonising with the rest of the face - and, with septum correction, also free breathing. The initial shape is visible after the plaster is removed; the final effect, after the swelling has fully subsided, is assessed after 12 months.
The aim is a natural-looking nose, matched to the individual proportions of the face. The effect is permanent and allows not only an improvement of aesthetics but also - if necessary - of breathing function. The result depends on tissue quality and proper healing.
