A lip lift is a surgical procedure to shorten the upper lip (the distance between the nose and the red lip), thanks to which the upper lip becomes fuller, lifted and more exposed. The procedure improves the proportions of the lower face and gives the lips a younger, more feminine appearance.
We most often use the bullhorn technique - an incision hidden just under the base of the nose, in the shape of bull’s horns, completely invisible once healed. The procedure also exposes the upper teeth when smiling, which is one of the attributes of a youthful face.
Indications for the procedure

How to prepare for the procedure?

- Swelling and bruising are natural and diminish within 2-4 weeks
- Sleeping with the head elevated is recommended for the first few days
- Dressings and sutures cared for according to the doctor’s recommendations
- Sutures are usually removed after 7-14 days
- Avoiding intense physical exertion and bending over for a minimum of 4-6 weeks
- No sunbathing or use of a solarium for a minimum of 6 months - SPF 50 protection is necessary
- After full healing, scar massages and products supporting their maturation may be introduced - according to the doctor’s recommendation
- Check-ups: about 1 month after the procedure, then after 3, 6 and 12 months

No. The procedure does not affect the function of the lip muscles. After healing, facial expression remains natural.

No. The procedure exposes the natural vermilion of the lip but does not increase its volume - that is its advantage in feminisation.
When can I return to physical activity?
After about 2 weeks, provided healing is correct and there are no contraindications at the check-up.
