Dermatologistical problems require specialist help. At Luna Clinic we treat skin diseases comprehensively and with modern methods.
Indications
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterised by dryness, itching and recurring skin lesions such as redness, cracks or superinfections. The disease can affect both children and adults, and its course is often aggravated by allergens, stress or environmental changes. Treatment includes the use of emollients, anti-inflammatory medications (e.g. corticosteroids, calcineurin inhibitors) and the elimination of symptom-triggering factors.
Psoriasis is a chronic, autoimmune skin disease whose characteristic symptom is flaky, red patches on the skin, most often on the elbows, knees, scalp and lower back. The disease is often recurrent, and its course can be worsened by stress, infections or certain medications. Treatment includes topical therapy (corticosteroid ointments, keratolytic preparations), phototherapy and systemic drugs in more severe cases.
Acne vulgaris is one of the most common skin diseases, affecting teenagers and adults. It manifests as blackheads, papules, pustules and sometimes inflammatory cysts, which can lead to the formation of scars. Acne treatment includes topical anti-inflammatory and keratolytic preparations (e.g. benzoyl peroxide, retinoids), antibiotics and, in more severe cases, oral retinoids or hormonal anti-androgen therapy.
Mycosis is an infection of the skin, nails or scalp caused by dermatophyte fungi, yeasts or moulds. It manifests as redness, flaking, itching and, in the case of nail fungus, thickening and discolouration of the nails. Treatment includes the use of antifungal medications topically (ointments, creams) or orally in the case of advanced infections.

Frequently asked questions
What skin diseases do you treat at Luna Clinic?
We diagnose and treat, among others, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne vulgaris and rosacea, mycoses, seborrhoeic dermatitis, urticaria and pigmented lesions. The therapy is conducted by an experienced dermatologist.
When should you go to a dermatologist?
When skin lesions persist for more than 2-3 weeks, recur, itch, hurt or enlarge, and also when a mole changes colour or shape. Early diagnosis significantly shortens treatment.
Is psoriasis contagious?
No. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease - you cannot catch it by touch, shared towels or the swimming pool. Appropriate treatment effectively relieves its symptoms.
How is the diagnosis of skin diseases carried out?
The basis is an interview and a skin examination, including dermatoscopy. If necessary, we order blood tests, swabs, a mycological test or the taking of a sample for histopathological examination.
Can chronic skin diseases be cured permanently?
Diseases such as psoriasis or AD are recurrent - the goal of therapy is long-term remission and control of symptoms. Proper treatment allows normal functioning without visible lesions.
How to prepare for a dermatologist visit?
Come without make-up or creams on the lesions, bring a list of the medications you take and the results of previous tests. Do not apply medicinal ointments for 2-3 days before the visit, if possible.
Czy do dermatologa w Luna Clinic potrzebne jest skierowanie?
No - we are a private clinic, so a referral is not required. You just need to book an appointment by phone or through the form on the website.
Can skin lesions indicate general diseases?
Yes. The skin often reflects the state of the whole body - some lesions accompany hormonal disorders, diabetes or autoimmune diseases. If necessary, the dermatologist will direct further diagnostics.
How often should you have a skin and mole check?
Preventively once a year, and with numerous moles, fair complexion or a family history - every 6 months. Check new or changing lesions immediately.
Does stress affect skin diseases?
Yes - stress is one of the most common factors aggravating psoriasis, AD, acne or seborrhoeic dermatitis. Therapy therefore also includes lifestyle recommendations.
Is the treatment of skin diseases combined with aesthetic procedures?
Yes - after the inflammation is brought under control we often propose treatments that improve the skin’s condition, e.g. laser therapy for capillaries, peels or therapies for post-acne scars. The order is set by the doctor.
How much does the treatment of skin diseases cost in Wrocław?
The cost depends on the type of condition and the therapy. The starting point is a dermatological consultation, during which you receive a treatment plan with a quote; you will find indicative prices in the price list.
Contraindications
A consultation has no significant contraindications. Any limitations concern selected treatment methods (e.g. laser vs. a tan, isotretinoin vs. pregnancy) - we will discuss them once a diagnosis is established.
How to prepare?
It is worth bringing to the visit:
- a list of medications and supplements taken
- existing documentation and test results
- a list of questions - nothing should slip your mind
- for skin lesions: do not cover them with make-up or irritate them before the visit
How does the procedure go?
We plan the treatment after a thorough skin assessment (with dermatoscopy if needed).
Recovery and recommendations
Diagnostic visits require no recovery. For treatments (e.g. laser) you will receive brief recommendations: sun protection, gentle care and avoiding high temperatures for a few days.
Effects - when and for how long?
Effect: depends on the condition and the therapy plan.

What does skin disease treatment involve?
Skin diseases is a procedure in the field of dermatology. At Luna Clinic, every treatment plan is created individually - we start with a thorough consultation and qualification, during which the doctor discusses expectations, assesses the starting situation and selects the scope and technique of the procedure. Thanks to this, skin disease treatment is safe, predictable and tailored to the anatomy and real needs of the specific person. We focus on a natural rather than artificial effect - so that the result emphasises individual beauty and remains in harmony with the rest of the figure or facial features. You will find a full, detailed description of the method in the upper part of this page.
skin disease treatment - who is it for? Indications and qualification
The best way to answer whether skin disease treatment is advisable in your case is during a consultation. The doctor always decides on qualification after an examination - we take into account the state of health, expectations and the real possibilities of the given method. If the procedure is not needed or safe at the moment, we will say so directly and suggest a sensible alternative. Such an honest conversation is the basis of a good decision and satisfaction with the result - which is why we never persuade anyone into unnecessary procedures.
How does the procedure go?
The course is planned to take maximum care of your comfort and safety. We work in comfortable conditions that meet all standards, and an experienced team oversees the process. All recommendations - preparation, contraindications and post-procedure conduct - are discussed individually and also provided in writing, so that skin disease treatment proceeds calmly, predictably and without surprises.
Effects and durability - skin disease treatment before and after
The effects that skin disease treatment provides are always assessed individually. A natural, harmonious refreshment of appearance or an improvement of proportions is the goal we strive for with every patient. “Before and after” transformations are best viewed in our results gallery - they show the real outcomes of our work. Remember that the durability and quality of the effect are also influenced by lifestyle, care and consistent adherence to post-procedure recommendations.
Recovery and post-procedure recommendations
Recovery goes most smoothly when you follow the recommendations closely. After the procedure you remain under the clinic’s care - in the first days, contact with a doctor is available, and we schedule follow-up visits until full healing and assessment of the effect. You receive clear instructions on care, activity and any supporting products in writing, so you know exactly what to expect at each stage of returning to form.
Safety, experience and trust
Safety is an absolute priority for us. Skin diseases is performed by Katarzyna Cygan, MD, PhD - a dermatologist and venereologist, with care for safety and an individual approach to the patient. Careful qualification, work in appropriate conditions and the team’s experience allow us to minimise risk and achieve repeatable, aesthetic results. In the field of dermatology, not only technique matters, but also aesthetic sense and trust between patient and doctor - and that is exactly what we build Luna Clinic on every day.
Why Luna Clinic?
Luna Clinic is an intimate, boutique clinic where not only the result matters, but also comfort, discretion and a sense of safety. We carry out skin disease treatment with attention to every detail - from the first conversation, through the procedure itself, to post-procedure care. Patients choose us for the experience of our specialists, the individual approach and the natural, harmonious results. It matters to us that every person feels heard and well informed, which is why we present the real possibilities and limitations of the given method and choose the best solution together.
How to prepare for the procedure?
Good preparation translates directly into the course and the effect. Before skin disease treatment we conduct a qualification consultation, order tests if necessary and discuss the recommendations in detail - including which agents, stimulants or activities to avoid in the days preceding the procedure. You receive all the guidance clearly and in writing, and our team remains available should any additional questions arise. We always tailor the preparation plan individually, because every situation and every patient is different.
